GM Facts and Fiction

GM offers more vehicles that get 30 mpg on the highway or more than any other automaker

A visit to the EPA fuel economy site shows that, segment for segment, GM vehicles are highly competitive in the marketplace.

GM currently offers an industry-leading 20 models that achieve EPA-rated highway fuel economy of 30 mpg or better. This year we launch two all-new compact SUVs - the 2010 Chevrolet Equinox and the GMC Terrain. When equipped with GM’s new 2.4L I-4 direct injection engine, the front-wheel-drive versions of these five-passenger crossovers will achieve a segment-leading 32 miles per gallon on the highway - up to a 600-mile range on a single tank of gas. In comparison, the Honda CR-V gets 27 mpg on the highway and the Toyota RAV-4 comes in at 28 mpg.
